Privacy policy

This page explains what information the ZipBuild app and website collect, why, and what you can do about it. ZipBuild is run by ZipBuild.
What we collect
- Mobile number. It is your login. We send a one-time code (OTP) to it.
- Name, and email if you add one. So our team and the driver know who the order is for.
- Delivery sites. The address you type, the contact number at the site, and the map pin you set.
- Phone location, only if you allow it. To find your site on the map and to check that we deliver there. We do not track your location in the background.
- Orders. What you ordered, the amounts, notes for the driver, and the order's progress.
- GST details, if you add them. Business name and GSTIN, for your bills.
- Saved items. Products you marked with the heart.
- Notification token. A code from your phone that lets us send you order updates.
Payments. Online payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank password. We only receive whether the payment succeeded and its reference number.
How we use it
- To take, prepare and deliver your orders, and to tell you how they are going.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- To keep accounts and tax records, as the law requires.
- To improve the service, for example to learn which areas ask for delivery.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for other companies' advertising.
Who we share it with
- Our delivery driver: your name, site address, map pin and contact number, for that delivery only.
- Razorpay: the order amount and your mobile number, to process an online payment.
- Google: Firebase delivers notifications to your phone, and Google Maps shows maps and finds addresses.
- Our SMS provider: your mobile number, to send the login code.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, your name, mobile number, email, GST details, saved sites and saved items are removed. Records of past orders are kept without your profile details, because accounts and tax rules require them.
Your choices
- Change your name or email, and remove saved sites, in the app under Account.
- Delete your account in the app: Account → Delete account. See how to delete your account.
- Turn location or notifications off at any time in your phone's settings. Ordering still works; you will need to pick your site on the map by hand, and you will not get order updates on the lock screen.
- Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, using the contact details below.
Keeping it safe
The app talks to our server over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to customer information is limited to our own team. No system is perfectly safe, so if you think your account has been misused, contact us at once.
Children
ZipBuild is meant for adults buying building material. It is not for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
